Who
We Are
The Iranian
Professionals Association of South Florida (IPASF) was established in May
of 1996. IPASF enjoys broad membership support among the Iranian professional
community in South Florida. We are represented by five elected board of directors
and four appointed executive board members.
IPASF
is a tax exempt 501 (c) (6) organization, which has no affiliation with any
political, racial, or religious group. It is principally dedicated to the
promotion of Iranian businesses in South Florida.
Our
Vision
- Providing
an environment for communication among Iranian professionals in all disciplines.
- Supporting
Iranian professionals in achieving and maintaining excellence.
- Providing
effective job placement activities for members.
- Encouraging
involvement of the Iranian community with local and national stream politics.
- Promoting
liaisons with various professional, scienntific, and cultural organizations.
- Creating
an effective network in which members are empowered to grow and help others
grow.
- Directing
referrals to our members and associates.
- Encouraging
members to have a voice in the community by participating in the voting
process in the local and national elections.
- Creating
a welcoming committee to warmly receive Iranians from all over the globe
to southern Florida.
- Providing
a conduit for our members to the elected officials, in order to ensure their
contributions and concerns are appreciated
Our
Accomplishments
- IPASF
has organized numerous lectures on economic, scientific, medical, and technological
issues.
- IPASF
is one of the two organizers of the Iranian Festival in Miami
- Conducted
training sessions on using computer systems and applications free of charge
for our members.
- A number
of our members have started successful business joint ventures as the result
of their involvment with IPASF.
- Organized
New Year parties, picnics, camping trips, fund raising and social functions
Our
Long Term Plans
- Further
social and economic enhancement of our community.
- We
are currently contemplating the idea of an investment club for out members
and affiliates.
- Create
an information base to study the demographics and statistical attributes
of the Iranian community in Florida.
- Provide
a base of communication with other professional and cultural organizations
in the U.S.
- Study
and analyze Iranian demographics and find methods of creating concentration
of Iranians in Florida and United States
The general
meeting of the IPASF is open to all interested individuals.
IPASF's general meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the
following location.
